Costs

Once you have found the home to rent that ticks all of your requirement boxes, and the application has been processed and approved, we will draw up the lease, and the upfront costs in terms of the agreement are:

(1) A deposit equivalent to a minimum of 1 and a half month’s rent. This will be refunded to the tenant with interest on expiry of the lease providing the terms of the tenancy have been met, and there is no outstanding rental or services, nor damages to the unit (any damage would be established together with you, the tenant, at an outgoing inspection which is compared with the recorded ingoing inspection). If there are any outstanding services, or any damage done during the tenancy, the cost of these would be deducted and the balance refunded to you.

(2) Lease fee

And, prior to occupation of the rental premises i.e. before key handover to the tenant, payment of the first month’s rental.

Your deposit is held in Trust with interest accruing to you, the tenant. We are registered with the Estate Agency Affairs Board and all Trust accounts are opened, and audited, in terms of section 32(1) of the Estate Agency Affairs Act, 112/1976.
